Our partnership with Beslag & Metall

How one of Sweden's preeminent automotive component factories is taking full control of their quality data with AI.
In Ekenässjön, a picturesque town in the heart of Småland, Beslag & Metall has been rolling out top-quality goods since 1938. What started with door handles and hinges has grown into precision-pressed, welded and surface-treated metal components, used by some of the world's most demanding automotive OEMs.
Nearly nine decades and three generations later, the company is still family-owned and run by CEO Marcus Björnsson. With over 200 colleagues, one of Europe's largest servo presses and an industry-leading quality culture, they have become a Tier 1 supplier in a sector where trust is earned one delivery at a time.
The natural next step
The quality function, led by Jan Strandesjö, Quality Manager, has invested heavily in measurement technology over the past decade. In fact, they were the first Swedish factory to adopt the cutting-edge ZEISS ScanBox 4105 — bringing faster, more precise 3D scanning.

Yet as measurement capabilities evolve, some familiar challenges (and opportunities) emerge. Data quickly grows plentiful and siloed across machines, systems and formats — requiring a unified layer to run deep-dive analytics and monitor critical parameters.

"We had the data. But our ability to generate meaningful insights, at scale, was limited. Stitching together data for reports could take our engineers hours. There had to be a better way."
An AI-powered quality intelligence platform
Together, Beslag & Metall and veyra are rolling out a unified platform for quality and process data intelligence. Through veyra, they can connect every measurement source into a single workspace for real-time monitoring and deep-dive analytics.
Engineers are further empowered by veyra's in-platform AI assistance — explaining key findings, suggesting actions based on deep contextual understanding and surfacing hidden patterns across huge datasets.
"We want to use data to further solidify comfort in our capability. Because when you trust the data, you can take performance to the next level."
Built for the long term
For Jan Strandesjö, the decision is part of a larger philosophy.
"We've been here for almost 90 years and we intend to be here for 90 more. When we choose a partner, we're looking for someone who thinks the same way — long-term, close collaboration, growing together."
With the single largest order in the company's history recently secured — components for a new generation of battery-electric trucks — the demands (and ambitions) for Beslag & Metall's quality infrastructure are only going to increase.
"Digitalisation, traceability, efficiency. We always want to stay at the forefront of our industry, and you need the tools to back up what you promise. That's why we're investing in this now."
If you want to hear more, we are always ready to show what veyra can do for your factory.
